The medicine Diclogel is a gel containing 10 mg of diclofenac sodium in each gram of gel. Diclofenac is a derivative of phenylacetic acid and belongs to a group of drugs known as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It acts by inhibiting the activity of cyclooxygenase and subsequently inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins and other inflammatory mediators.
Indications for use
Diclofenac has anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects in the treatment of:
- mild to moderate muscle pain
- injuries
- post-traumatic pain.

The active substance of the medicine is diclofenac sodium. 1 g of gel contains 10 mg of diclofenac sodium. The other ingredients are: propylene glycol, sodium hydroxide (to determine pH), triglycerides of medium chain fatty acids, carbomer 980, hydroxyethylcellulose, propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 216), methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 218) and purified water.
